The routes to take

From Johannesburg:Via the N1:

Take the N1 toward Bloemfontein and then take the turn off towards Sasolburg then Heilbronn, Reitz, Bethlehem and then Clarens. Via the N3: Take the N3 past Villiers and take the Warden turn off, this will then take you to Bethlehem and then Clarens.

From Durban:

Travel on the N3 towards Harrismith, and then turn off at Harrismith towards Bethlehem about 2km after leaving Harrismith you will see a turn to the left saying Phuthaditjhaba take the turn off  which will take you through the Golden Gate National Park and then to Clarens (This is the scenic route). Alternatively continue on towards Bethlehem, approximately 8km from Bethlehem, turn off to the left towards Clarens.

From Bloemfontein:

Take the N1 turn off at Winberg travel towards Bethlehem from Bethlehem travel towards Clarens. The other route is via Ficksburg that road has many potholes and I wouldn’t suggest driving it. 

In Clarens

As you turn into Clarens, you will take an immediate left into Sias Oostuizen street. Approximately 20m down the road on your right hand side you will see the pedestrian gate of By The Way Guesthouse.

The Lock boxes are at the gate, so you can retrieve your keys there. Code for your lockbox is on your welcome note.

After Retrieving your keys, double back around the right side of the building. The secure parking is located behind the “Welcome To Clarens” sign. The remote on your keys will open the gate.
